The Crystal Ball, hosted by The Steppingstone Foundation, at the Four Seasons in Boston was themed Gatsby this year. With all the pearls, feathers and 20’s style dresses, this ball put elegance to the test.

This past week I photographed the beautiful Algonquin Club in Boston. Donna Wolfe, who is President of Donna Wolfe Consulting, had a client looking at a few venues in the Boston area for her event in May. She wanted a better view inside the Algonquin Club…

As the holidays wind down, I am reminded of how grateful I am for friends, family…and warm fuzzy animals. Bill’s parents just recently got a new puppy golden retriever. When I was four years old, one of my first memories, was being in our old blue mini-van with our new fuzzy little golden retriever. Her name was Jenny. This new little puppy below is nameless for the time being, but with her cute little nose and wet kisses to give, all that matters is that she is loved.

The infamous Rocky Horror Show played the weekend after Thanksgiving at Club Oberon in Cambridge. If you know the story, then the photos may not seem so odd.

Headshot…a photograph to show who you are and who you can be. Anthony showed me who he is with his big smile, love of hip hop, and his duty to perform for others. He’s a student at the ART Institute for Advance Theater Training at Harvard University. Being a theater student once myself, I understand the love of the stage. Telling stories, playing music and helping out communitites is one of Anthony’s dreams. Determination is the name of the game.

Studying abroad in England during college was one of greatest challenges and loves for me. Learning the true meaning of culture shock; that “You alright?” means “How’s it going?” and that music can pull you through anything. When I first heard the Scottish band Travis, I immediately felt connected to their lyrics and just the softness of their songs.
On Sunday night, I had the privilege to photograph Fran Healy & Andy Dunlop of Travis at the Arts at the Armory in Somerville. They shared stories about their songs and performed acoustically with such ease that reminded me how much I adore them.

Cousins are the best. I remember making home made videos with my brother when we were younger every summer before we got ready to go down to my uncle’s lake house in Virgina. We knew what awaited us…fun with our cousins. Whether it was tubing down at the lake or the ski trips my extended family took out west in the winter, I was always glad my cousins were there with me.
A few weeks ago, I was able to photograph two families on a beautiful fall day. I could tell how happy the kids were to hang out with their cousins for a day. And luckily, I knew what that felt like.

Although it may not sound funny, 47 Ways to Die performed at Club Oberon, was just that. Cheryl Turski directed this horror cabaret show to a packed house last week and it was such a pleasure to photograph!
